Playing for stacks in low EV+ spot, but been sooo card dead.
Seriously there must have been an idiot convention in my local casino tonight. Tons of people I've never seen queing up on roster to play 1/2 and 50/1 cash.
I'm not playing good or bad, am utterly beyond card dead + unable to play position due to so many calling stations who are stacked.
£1/£2 I find 6c8c in the cut off sat with around £400. By far my highest value hand in at least an hour. I've been pretty inactive pre, but guy on my left is sat about 500Bigs deep and really is just pushing the table over. Making it like £20 - 30 pre, whether thers a raise or not. Myself and two other regs are just dying to get in there with a hand. But he is hitting more than a man with 6 pints of stella in him after catching his wife cheating.
Anywho, I want to see flop cheap, so make it £5 to go, hoping the raise will at least stop him popping it to his insane standard. He's in the BB, thankfully the ploy works. He's worried enough about the raise to flat, but I know he's never folding. Really spewy lady also comes in. from SB.
£15 in pot, smallest pot in at least 3 orbits Kc 5h 5c
Weak flush draw. Crazy stacked guy immediately fires out £100, like he has the majority of pots. Just silly huge overbets. Its only a matter of time till he goes from hero to zero. I'm in a really awful mode. I've already lost 1 bullet (£400), am playing this bullet and have best part of a bullet behind.
He isnt that strong, he's been doing this constantly. He has anyting from a K to A high, likely not even that. But then there's this spew monkey behind me who is itching to call.
I dont make a habit of chasing on paired boards and dont want to reship the £350, to see blank blank or worse. I've just missed everything allnight so far, I miss here I'm just going to be so tiled it doesnt matter if I get all the cards in the world, I'm going to play so bad I'll go broke over three bullets regardless. I know my flaws.
Anywho still steamed and pee-d off about the whole evening, literally worst session this quarter. Regardless of the ridiculous price asked do you take the flip to get even, knowing he's weak or likely folds to the jam? But it is a stacks hand, not a call to reassess turn. Its jam or fold.
I obviously folded looking for the sweeter spots, that never came. But lady spew monkey behind called, then they got it in at turn with the stupidest hands, my club making the river. I think one had 99 other holding K2o. Really was my only real opportunity of the evening, but taking that needless race just isnt my game.

fold on flop is good
Most annoying thing was the dealer was a familier one. When I've simply had enough I get up to without saying a word and he says something like, "You cant win every night mate.."
Really had to bite my tongue pretty hard. Dealer really has no place saying anything like that.
If I take the gamble with the clubs on the paired board and miss, I'm insta reloading and losing that also, I just wouldnt have been able to see straight. Utterly card dead and missing every angle.
fwiw if the decision on the flop is 0EV or even slightly -ev i would still get it in so we can have deeper stacks vs the villain
I cant call/raise flop. Really wanted to though. Hindsight poker I guess.
Yeah this is what I ended up doing, which was why I was so annoyed at dealer for his comment. I lost one bullet overall, when it could easily have been 3. If I'm feeling that way out I decide to play a finite amount more orbits to give myself the opportunity to have a card run prior to leaving. But no.... Then the stacked douche just started opening pots blind and making non stop boats. Big part of my desperately wanted to stay, but I'd become very negative and wouldnt have known how to play a hand if I'd been dealt one.
This and the fact you almost never get him to fold better when you flop a draw is why I fold pre. In normal circumstances I like the open
If I limp in the cut off, everyone else limps behind, he will make it £25+ to see a flop. The raise was designed to get to the flop cheaply @ £5. Then the intention was obviously to try and use image to apply pressure through streets or flop massively. If the board hadnt been paired I'm pretty sure I get my money in
