Ideas for 865 and general sky poker stuff....

Yeah, i think 2 hours of cash 300 and TOP with cash 300 can be abit too much of one thing, is my fav show of the week tho

Normally with mastercash, I watch the first hour, as it's the lower tables, then watch an hour of the cash 300, but 2 hours coverage of this sometimes drags, and I find myself flicking over, then coming back for the last hour of top of the pots.

Thinking about ideas for "mixing up" the middle 2 hours of the show.......

This may have been done before, but in the 14/15 months that I've been on sky, and watching 865, I've never seen a hand analysed between 2 presenters......

How about on one of the "P2P" nights, 2/3 presenters play 3/4 tables, at different levels,2/4, 15/30, 1/3 or whatever.....so Orford/TK/Hartigan, alongside 3 random players off the site.

Then the hands could be reviewed, and a "highlights" package put together to fill an hour of the live MC show.

You could give prizes out for the best bluff, "win a pot with 72 against TK and win a TSP classic seat" kinda thing. 

I know it only allows for 3 participants off the site to play, but I'm sure people wont mind if it improves the Saturday night show.

So the show would be....

Hour 1 - Serious low stakes cash analysis 

Hour 2 - Presenter cash highlights.

Hour 3 - Cash 300

Hour 4 - TOTP

Just think the show gets abit heavy at times on a Sat night, breaking it up abit could work well.

The programming is heavily geared up towards cash and mtt's, with little or no time devoted to stt's.

I remember poker night live when they would have a play the presenter each night and review the play. This is how I got into poker, and its this grounding that has led me to specialise in HU sng's. 

There are some very profitable professional STT players. I believe the top player in the world has won over a quarter of a million dollars year to date and nearly 2 million dollars in all. 

A safe responsible way of moving into poker is by starting with STT's, learning about position, chip stacks and bet sizes.  I like STT because its a set outlay for each game and your liability is capped.

I used to think the Play the Presenter shows were very entertaining and when they concentrated on DYM Challenges, BR Challenges etc they were very good to watch.  Shouldn't be so hard to reintroduce something like those cash based.

I've made the suggestion before of doing shows where one level of the lower stakes is featured along the same lines as the cash 300 is now. Why its the big stakes every week is beyond me, I find it boring watching the same regs trying to stack the same fish each week, plus the commentary is for the most part worthless, "xxx with xx raises to £xx" so who's learning anything from watching, other than don't limp that gets a mention most weeks.

Stopped watching last night it was sooooooooo tedious, maybe I'm in the minority, I often am, but I think this show struggles to decide if its a poker or an entertainment show. If it is meant to be a cash poker show maximise the time and show cash poker, analyse the hands properly, not like your commentating on the football.

I thought one of the sites USP's was that players can see themselves playing on TV, well if it is give the 10/20, 15/30 and 25/50 players a break and do some sat night cash shows that feature them playing, you never know it may just work, at the very least it will be a change from Peg v lol.
