Hand above, oppo seems okay, defo better than standard NL8 player.  My question here is preflop, once I get 4bet preflop I'm as certain as I can be that I'm up against AA or KK.  If I am right with this, is calling his 4bet a bad move.  The flop is pretty much the best I can hope for but most of the times it is not going to happen and I'm gonna end up folding or hitting and still being in a world of pain.

If you're certain that you're up against AA/KK then I'm folding pre here.

By calling you're basically gambling that you're gonna hit a miracle flop which most of the time you won't.

What makes you so certain you're up against AA/KK btw?

I had seen him 3bet pf before with strong hands but not 4bet before and was sure he wasn't doing it light.  I know it is possible he could have a lot wider range but sometimes you just know...(or are confident at the time anyway).  His bet also looked like he was asking for me to go back over the top.

Might be a bit cautious but i probably flat pre flop OOP even with AK suited.

Did you have a plan prior to the flop coming after calling pre?

not sure about flatting as could end up 4 or 5 way and i'm 3betting for value.  No plan for the flop, just don't like the idea of 3bet folding.  Against most players at this level or readless im getting this in pre.

you cant call the 4bet. I would shove unless i had decent reads.

Tricky spot preflop and tbh since starting back at NL4 I've been lucky and not had any spots like this but if I did I'd probably chicken out and flat like you have.

Also your reraise after his initial raise could be bigger up around 80p+ for me.

Decide what you are doing to a 4bet before you 3bet. 3bet bigger. Never flat the 4bet, shove or fold, I shove readless. If you are sure he has KK+ then fold obv.

Personally I wouldnt 3bet in the first place if Im folding to a 4bet but maybe its ok at 4NL

Cheers all.  Thought I made the wrong move once I did it.  Basically need to 3bet bigger and dont flat the 4bet.
