edited May 2011 in Poker Chat
hi! can some one tell me what is the point, i have just been knocked out of a tournament by what can only be described as a spite call i was on the button with JJ the small blind had a similar stack size i go all in with 7 BB and he calls with KTo he did this after i went all in on his BB the previous hand i have been sucked out on so much lately and i mean much worse than this please don`t tell me about the long run my job does not permit me a lot of playing time what is the best way to deal with this.

yeah sorry Legend......id be snap calling in his position.

and in terms of your comment regarding long run, doesnt matter if you play 5 hours a week or 5 mins a week.....it will level out in the long run. You got your money in good, thats all you need to worry about. There is no "Quick fix" im afraid

what would you have done in his/her positon....would you have thought "oh well hes the short stack ill let him have theblinds"?? If the answer is yes to this question....................im on table croydon at NL4 ;0)

Fist pump, sigh, then take a note.

Also you may be taking it too personally if you think other players are making moves simply to spite you.

You say your similar stacked so he's shallow also.  You just jammed on him as you say, your doing it again so he auto scales down your range.  With 7 BB's left also he may feel that he has to draw the line, K10 being good enough against your perceived range.

Really doubt there was any spite at all.

Live 240 seater MTT couple of years ago.  Approaching bubble.  Raise and a few calls, I find AsJs in LP, squeeze jam healthy stacked, limper calls (for much of his stack) with 42o, making a pair. This is a spite call :)
