Interesting hand

Hi All

I had this hand last night in a cash game 25/50. Just wondering how any of you would of played this differently... My view on the hand was, i raised preflop 4x BB, ok i was on button but it was a quick call from some1 out of position on SB, so i presumed he must have something... I didnt put him on hitting the blank flop so played back at him etc etc.. By the river i found myself commited to the all in thats why i called, and with the pot going to reach £97 if i call then i feel I actually did have odds to call... Please let me know what you think

hmmmmm ibelieve you're already married flash.... that bigamy that is! ;-p

think a fold on the turn when villain pushes all in should be the play (bet, raise, reraise always means a hand)... but youve a lot comitted already (with nada) i guess a lot if it would be down to how much gamble you had in you on that day.

Villain should also learn a lesson from this calling raises with junk... sooooooted or not!

PF fine and flop is fine IMO.  OOP flop donk bets are so sexcee that they deserve to be raised, especially on paired boards.

Turn I think is pretty poor.  Flop FDs are a large part of his range plus we hvae the NFD redraw.  Plus we actually have some showdown value versus some of his range of A4/A2 and other st8 draws. I probably flat his 50p.  OFC once he goes AI you have to call, while not getting the right price, I think that the pot is too big now.

We have put in approx 30bb in the pot by his turn min bet, and while we do get folds a some of the time, I don't think we get it enough to justify putting 70bb at risk on a draw, on a paired board when we could be drawing dead.

Interesting how the villain played it tho.  The turn didn't really improve his hand, unless he put you on 66/77.  Def. one to note up and follow

I would say you got very lucky, not only in the result, but also in being up against a villian that doesn't appear to be able to read board texture and hand ranges.  A lot of the time you are gonna be up against monsters there.

I do love your flop play tho, aggression ftw.

Yeh I agree with your post Scotty... I thought it would make a nice change to put a hand up where the hero hasn't flopped the nuts and by the river has lost... thats just another way of putting a bad beat story up :-)

When i posted this, i knew i hadn't played it that well, and i hadnt even looked back on it until now...

My thinking was he had air and was trying to bluff me.. I couldnt put him on hitting that flop... my re-raise must of looked strong i.e AA,KK (any overpair) then when he called i was suprised... the min bet on the turn looked like a stopper bet.. trying to get me to flat call to then shove on river knowing i was weak, so i made the big raise to say im not weak im ahead here, again looking like AA, KK ... then when he shoved all in i didnt realise how much i had actually put into pot and with the pot going to £97 if i call for £22, I felt my odds if not correct were evry close to calling... I think what set this hand up was the size of the villans flop bet, meaning i had to make a big re-raise then when he calls the pot is already £32!!!

At the end of the day, hopefully this will stop him from calling 4x PF raises OOP with 8,3!!!!

    Yeah we all want that

And yeah if you could see his hand and knew that you had 15 clean outs, calling 25 or so to win 100.

But in my experience villians who min bet/all in will allways have da nutz here.

i would just call flop, your hand is probably good, no need to bluff, especially as you cant really get anything that beats you to fold. Much better to raise turn when a scare card hits to get him to fold 3's, or other pocket pairs.
