Advice wanted on DYM stratergy

edited May 2011 in Poker Chat
A little bit of background

Im putting aside £110 of my bankroll soley for playing £5.50 DYM's
I've played around 60 over the last 3 days trying them out for the 1st time and have made not a big profit but never the less a profit at that buy in level
I also never play more than 2 tables at a time cause 1. more wont fit onto my laptop screen and 2. I havent been able to master more than that yet

From the 1st of June I want to take a pop at them properly for the whole month so the advice Im looking for is....

1. Is £110 (20 buy ins) enough?
2. do I play volume by profit?
3. with the amount invested what profit/loss can I expect?

I had other things I was thinking about but they gone out my head at the mo so advice on what I have already asked would be very welcome, also if there is any other advice you can give I will certainly like to hear

Cheers
YKI

I would advise trying to get up the levels as quickly as possible.

Lower stakes DYM's can be a bit of a gamble fest with some silly calls.

Remember and play it tight to start, no point is having a stab at the blinds when they are only 10 and 20

Don't start to panic and get into shove mode if you have greater than 1500 chips, at the early staged, plenty of play left with those chips,

DYM's is about survival, not winning, don't be scared to lay down premium hand when there is a lot of action before you have to act

Once you have a commanding stack,  don't get involved, let the small stacks fight it out.

Dont be scared to use position and the bubble to your advantage in the later stages

Use sharkscope to find STT/DYM specialists and avoid them in the early stages of your career.  Shanxta is an obvious example ;o)

Playing 3 tables at once at £5.50, winning 2/3 on average nets you £3.50 profit. If each set of 3 takes 1/2 hour, you should average £7.  If you cannot average 2/3, you should move down to a level that you can comfortably achieve this  .Best of luck
