In the WSOP $25,000 Heads Up (yes, $25,00, gulp) young Jake Cody is in the last 8!
He's a genuinely lovely lad, too, & I hope he gets the lot.
Here's the draw......
Anthony Guetti vs. Jake Cody
Gus Hansen vs. Matt Marafioti
Eric Froehlich vs. Nikolay Endakov
Yevgeniy Timoshenko vs. David Paredes
And the payouts......
1 $851,192
2 $525,980
3-4 $283,966
5-8 $138,852
From everyone at Sky Poker, go get it won, Jake.

Let's do this thing.
PS - big thanks to SPT-Rich, aka Tighty, aka Rich Prew, who produces this stuff next door, & who has agreed to it being Posted on here.
Don't forget, ANY WSOP news of interest, use this thread to keep us all up to speed, please.
Well done to Dave, too.
Binions is a lovely place to play poker, imo, & I might just play a few events there myself this year. I'm going on June 20th, 2 weeks before I start "work" out there with Sky Poker, & will be playing non-stop, happy days!
James Hartigan will be out there for a while, playing, too.
anyone know what happened between bord and juanda during their match.. i heard juanda got insulted by bord and then the security guards took Juanda away.
James Bord did not play John Juanda.. Bord played David 'Bakes' Baker... what happened after Juanda won his match seemed to be something personal between the both of them ( others suggested it has to do with FTP) but with all the FTP representatives at the wsop ie. gus hansen, durrr, matusow he could easily of gone and said something to them so it seems there little spat seemed to be a personal problem
gl next year
The sun is shining, we've got some great casinos in Sheffield.
Now we just need a desert.
2 more years experiance and this is one Squaddie that could take the WHOLE thang down !!
GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE BRITS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
............fades out with music from Chariots of Fire !
James Dempsey 2nd with 80k 5k behind 1st place in the $1500 O8 with 99 left
Wow!
Good luck to both Jake & James.
Go the two J's!
Jake Cody v Gus Hansen
Eric Froehlich v Yevgeniy Timoshenko
Final will be a best of three contest.
Hansen won the WSOP-E equivalent of this tourney last year, so has to be considered the favourite. That said, Cody is a quality player so going to be a really interesting semi.
I'd back Timoshenko to get past Froehlich, too. His online alias is 'JovialGent' - Google him to check out some of the results he's come up with online and live and you'll see why I reckon he should progress.
Good luck Jake!
