Multi Table skills...?

Seriously,  how or what skills are needed to play multi table's..?

I Personaly have tried 3 but i find with the speed of the tables i end up with screen's bleeping and flashing every where, i find using the tiled option to small and i end up missing what table i need to act on first..


With such little time to act how do people actually manage to play so many..?

It comes down to practice.

It doesn't make you a better player if you can multi, I would just play the tables you are comfortable with.

Personally I find 4 to 6 tables optimum for me.  I stack there start times so some games I can play just the cards early on and I move them to a diff part of my screen when I get to the business end of the mtt.  Playing 4 also stops me playing too many hands through boredom.  But then occasionally, if I am deep in two or three games, I will blind out in one because I cant give it enough attention and don't realise I am so short

the skill to multi-tabling is simply as mr white stated practice start with 2 tables when you feel comfortable with 2 open up a 3rd play 3 tables for a period of time and gradually just continue to add on up to a max 9-12 (depending on what you play) i personally can play 4 mtts at a time comfortably at one time i played 7 mtts at a time (when the first survivor started this was a sunday) i was playing 2 on here 4 on another site and 1 on another site i'll admit i found this tough cause i had never had so many tables open and i was really having to focus mainly on the sky tables due to not having time banks but after about 45 mins an hour i started to get use to it but obviously mtts i would guess are harder to multi-table as to cash as a lot more decision making is needed in mtts when relative to stack sizes etc. but really the only way to get use to multi-tabling is by practicing each amount one at a time

I must also add that it is a lot harder to multi on two diff sites at the same time.
I do this every night but my other site has boxes pop up when time to act, sky doesnt unless one table is on the front so you end up missing hands.
Throw in 3 sites and you are in big trouble!

3 is fine, 6 + usually gets my bleeps going just gradually add a table really

Also depends what you're multi tabling. Ie its easier to play 4 cash tables, rather than 2 cash tables and 2 mtts.

Theres no point in adding more tables if can't keep up with them. Better to win on 1 or 2 than lose playing 4-6.

I can play 18 ok on other sites.

15 max on Sky.  I have 2 large monitors tho so that helps.

But when I first started, 2 would be a stuggle...then you get use to it and 3 is a bit tough and so on.  Even when I 12 table on Sky i still have facebook/the forum/tv shows on the other monitor.

If your a cash player, then try the full ring tables as they are a bit slower so you won't have as much action.  It helps if you line up the tables.  IE if I'm in  a few tournies with cash running too and I will have the tournies on top and cash on the bottom as its easier to look at stacks.....also the deeper I am in a tournie it gets preference and is always top left, next deepest to that and so on.

The download is a big help with multi-tabling, so use that if you are currently on the browser.  Mini view is good too.

how do you get that many tables up, when i have 4 i have a big overlap. do they get smaller when you do 5+ or do they majorly overlap?
