Sky Micros BRM rules (Cash NL)

edited June 2011 in Poker Chat
Looking for some sky poker specific guidence from players that have built a roll on here playing cash and started in the gutter.....ppl with experience only pls!!! ie moved up from 4nl to 50nl as winners!!!! and were able to move down when needed.

I reckon I can handle some pretty aggressive BRM rules, just wondering what ppl who have been there and done it at this place already think. ta

I'll be 4-8 tabling once used to the software, until then will just be 4. And if I have over 150bb at a table then I'll obv leave an d start again at 100bb
Steak Take Shots Move up  Move Down
8 7.5 £60.00 10 £80.00 5 £40.00
10 7.5 £75.00 10 £100.00 5 £50.00
20 7.5 £150.00 20 £400.00 10 £200.00

havent built a roll here so whatever

These look like the very minimum, and personally I would want more than 10BI to move up, but maybe you can manage it if you are experienced and have played a lot of cash poker elsewhere

Personally I would advise moving up at 25BI for next level and down a when below 20BI as a pretty comfortable bankroll strategy. You might get away with less though

ive built up from £5 to over £100 in a few weeks. this was by playing dyms to start with then at about £40 i moved to 4nl...i still play 4nl with my br and will move up when i have £160 so the buy in is 5% of my br.
depends on what your comfortable with and if you lose all your money and would deposit more funds.

Can I ask why you would leave a table when you're up to 150bb ?

Do you not feel comfortable playing deeper than 100bb ?

Imo if you're up on a table you would be silly to leave once you've hit a certain ammount.

Also you can't leave a table and rejoin the same table again with 100bb's. You have to rejoin with the ammount you left with for a certain ammount of time.

Yeh standing at 150xbb is weird? why??

especially if you're 4-8 tabling, thats alot of farting about moving tables for no reason really.

With the lower levels I wouldn't really bother taking shots, as it doesn't/shouldn't take long to beat the levels anyway. Not like higher up where it takes months, you could probably beat nl4 in a week tops if you're 4+ tabling.

I'd just go with 15-20 buy ins for the level above if you're good. More if you're not so good.

Start at 4nl with whatever u have got and move up to nl8 when u got about 120 quid.

There is only usually 4 NL8 tables running at one time so you gonna need to have 4NL or 10NL tables at the same time or skip it completely.

Sorry maybe i didn't go into enuff detail with the 150bb exception- ie its for shot taking, At the time i didn't realise how low the traffic can be sometimes so i may have to tweak this but thats the point of the fred.

The theory is simple tho, up until 10nl 10BIs is the baseline to aim for, I may adjust it depending on how different (if at all) the levels play,  When taking shots with 7.5 I'm literally only going to play 1 table with 13% of my BR at effective stacks of ~100bb, at ~150bbs its 20%..... hope that makes sense.

Being able to work out an hourly would make this sooooo much easier!!! Its basically a case of boom or bust. Im expecting to go busto but on the chance this saves me having to move over my roll from elsewhere this is worth a crack for lols.

Have u seen how soft the games r here???

Where do u normally play and what level?

You'll probably be v surprised at how much easier it is here than your other site/s.

yeh after playing a lil 4nl thats when i decided to switch from normal brm to maniac aggressive brm so i can play higher asap. 25nl reg elswhere, still playing there for time being unti..... maybe i'll switch completely if i can get used to software

if you play 25nl elsewhere then just deposit 5 or 6 buyins here and play 20nl. Theres no need for specific brm for different sites.
