Bad beats

edited June 2011 in Area 51

I have been playing on Sky Poker for years now and have become used to seeing "underdogs" hit on the river when the odds against are long, e.g. A, 10 versus A, 3 and the 3 turns on the river. (I know this will happen now and again but it happens a lot more than now and again on Sky Poker). I have come to accept that this is a down side to playing on Sky Poker. What I find confusing is that, when I watch Sky Poker on television these things do not seem to happen nearly so frequently. Can someone explain why this is? Is it that the hands shown on television are carefully selected to make the hands resemble casino or non-online play? If not why am I not seeing the hands I encounter online every night reflected when I watch television?

Obviously this question is directed at the Sky Poker presenters but I would be interested to hear all opinions.
