How big does river bet need to be to get through?

edited June 2011 in The Poker Clinic
Opponents have station tendencies, i assumed an ace was out there, but thought bet was enough. Thoughts?

Villan is a station.  DONT EVER BLUFF A STATION.
IMO river bet is spewy.  For your story to add up you have to bet turn and river, even then as you said hes a station so he prob calls both streets.

I think that size is ok, the problem is your line doesnt make much sense, except with 4x which its hard put you on and people like to call (especially with 3 pair lol). As well as Ax pps also call. Just c/f river

If you do bluff the bigger you make it the more often everyone has to fold, you still only win the same amount

You know he's a calling station, you've only put £1.50 into the pot, you aren't really repping anything, just check and let it go. i think the sizing is fine, you'd probz get away with abit less though.

A station is calling that board with an ace all day  - more to do with understanding the situation - nothing to do with bet sizing
