Desisions Desisions and i need to make one soon.

Looking ahead and planning my next few months. As ill be looking at stakes and satellties and mostly just boosting experiance as  slowly grind my way up mtt levels online.

Anyways August has just became the biggest headache of all the events comming up. 3 events which i all signaled out as ones i was interested in playing all clash on the same weekend. To top this off my local Pub League Regional also clashes with this weekend.

So the events i have the choice of

UKIPT Edinburgh
GUKPT Luton
DTD Grand Prix
TNPL Regional Final

I think its safe to rule that down to 3.

Right pros of them all

Edinburgh - Its local and i could stay at home in my own bed while playing. Which makes the location a huge factor. Multiday event makes it even more appealing. Having played in this structure at Newcastle and enjoying it, im quite keen to play it again.

Luton - Its something different to what ive played. Again like Edinburgh its multi-day. Would even encourage me to play on sky as sats are on here, and maybe get myself a blue hoodie and meet some of the better known sky players. Very tempting.

DTD - Can play Day 1 online, mass multi day event with day 2 being GTD cash. Hmmm.

TNPL - Its free.



Cons

Edinburgh - Its not in a casino which i like the enviroment of. Its local so its not really new. It means staying at home (getting away is a bonus)

Luton - its a distance to travel.

DTD - Its a Rebuy

TNPL - its free. Its a Turbo.



I really dnt know what to do, but since ill need to start looking at qualification routes i need to start deciding now. Any opinions valued.

    the DTD grand prix is only reentry in day 1, which you can do online.  you can easily sat in online and big prize pool.  dunno if they still have golden chips available?  if you do get knocked out in day 2 then there will be 50£ side games and .50/1 cash running.  also if you get thru the online day 1, then you are guaranteed a min cash of 75€ just for making day 2.

    Luton there will not be any small stakes side tournies nor .50/1 cash action (1/2 min but maybe even 1/3 or 2/5).  However there will be a massive Sky Poker presence and you can get in cheap on Sky too.

    I'd say its close between those tbh.  They will probably be the best strutured/best run events and you'll def run into Sky regs at either of them.

    ty scotty. Defo considering both of these event. I think my Dad wanting to do the UKIPT in Edinburgh and that might sway me a little, He keeps outlasting me of late and its getting a little embarrassing.

    DTD does look very appealing and i think i may just do that as its a re-entry and day 1 is online (it appears day 2 doesnt start untill after the other 2 finnish) which means i could play that with one of the other 2.

    Your almost talking me into Luton tbh. As i know this is your local casino (going by GUKPT commentary from your final table) im guessing you live close nearby. Whats the Casino and local hotels/nightlife like?

    I don't live close by its like 45 mins away but its a good place with friendly staff/regs.  Its quicker for me to get to the Vic in London tbh.

    Dunno about nightlife but Luton is horrible.  The casino is one of the best places to go drinking etc in Luton actually and on a Friday/Saturday its usually pretty rammed (less so atm cos of the nice weather). 

    There are a few hotels/BnBs close to the casino.  If you book early you could def get a cheap deal.

    the DTD GP and GUKPT Luton are on the same weekend but day 1 of GUKPT is on the Friday so I'm thinking of trying to qualify for day 2 of the DTD GP online and if I bust out of GUKPT then I can make it for DTD GP and if not then I'm guaranteed the min cash.  seems like effort tho.  typing this all out is effort enough.

    Ty scotty. Ah im misreading that DTD Grand Prix site badly then it said day 1's all the way throo to the 19th. With GUKPT being on the 14th. Same day as Day 1B for Edinbugh UKIPTT.

    ah read the full thing don. cheers scotty. UKIPT and GUKPT both seem possible then. I shall do both if i can qualify for both.
