Hellmuth's at it again.... WSOP Bracelet 12?
Looks like Phil Hellmuth is having a bit of a hot WSOP so far. Second final table of the series, and neither have been in Hold'em.
Three players remaining at the moment - read up here.Would you like to see him win a 12th? Personally I would, although the bragging would be pretty rough you'd expect

John Racener was the runner-up in last year's Main Event to Duhamel, so obviously won't be phased by the occasion. Got a bunch of good results from outside of that event too, including a final table on the WPT and another $1m or so in cashes outside of his second place last year.
Should be a good finale, this!

Oh, and DOHHHHHHHH.... when is mine then?
That's the good/bad thing with these split pot games...
He's still second in chips but getting a lot closer now - 3m or so for Rodawig, 2m for The Brat.
No bragging to be done. Mind you, two seconds in $10k buy-in events. Must be nice, eh?
admittedly he sucks at cash

Hellmuth WSOP Betting
I reckon the 50/1 for him to make the final table isn't too bad a shout, actually...
(Hellmuth bracelet markets will close around 7pm but may re-open tomorrow morning. That's an FYI
Say what you like about his game his antics are always entertaining and the ripping he gets from fellow pros (especially in cash games and The Poker League) is merciless.
I think this may be the funniest thing that I have ever seen at a poker table (for the uninitiated the player he is up against is a "lose-cannon", an amatuer who has qualified online to play with $100 000 in a cash game), enjoy...

Yes he is a tool at times, but I truly believe much of it is intentional, but also I agree with A. Duke - I wouldnt be surprised if he had a borderline personality disorder.
You've simply got a guy whose whole adult life has been centred around being an early achiever poker star. I think you can easily compare him with child actors who lose all sense of how an adult is expected to act.
He is not the best player in the world by any stretch, but he is the most successful tournament player of all time. Fact.
So love him or hate him, he should be respected for his achievments. Problem is, the way he conducts himself causes him to be ridiculed in a way that is very unfitting, becoming a pure caricature of himself.
But he knows it and promotes it, so I think he has more insight into his public Image than he pretends. Which is a shame, as if he conducted himself better, history would remember him more favourably.
I love the guy though, warts and all. Always have, always will
I never know quite how to take his entrances. On one hand they seem a bit sad and desperate, on the other - why shouldnt poker have an OTT flamboyount character to generate public interest.
As Hellmuth, says, day 1 of ME is like christmas for him, so fair play that he tries to be an ambassador for pokers biggest day + making the most of it for himself (which is really what its about IMO). In many ways he has earned the entitlement to be pokers leading man, whether the industry wants him or not
But I think it is "good for poker" overall.
