In Response to Re: Blog - "Postcard from Vegas, Day 7"...... : +1 Yep cheers for writing these Tikay. Posted by FINS
+2 Look forward to logging in to see if Day x has arrived!
Serious questions tho TK.
How do you avoid "burn-out"? Is is difficult to pace oneself? How do you decide what/where to play? SOOOO many questions so little time. Maybe like Gixxer's blog you could do an "Idiot's guide to Vegas" on your return and get Ryan to do one as a newbie as well? For comparison etc.
Rg Pad p.s. Q for ya...When did buses FIRST appear on the streets of LONDON? No googling mind!

Thanks Tikay, really enjoying your blogs, I went to vegas for the first time a month or so back and absolutely loved it. Quite new to poker (playing less than a year) so stuck to low level stuff, had some wins in cash games but didn't do too well in any tournies. Can't wait to go back (probably next June/July) and will hopefully take a better game (and some more cash!)
I am really enjoying these blogs tikay, thanks so much.
+1 to all you said about Ryan being a brilliant TSP member. I hope he stays part of the team for a long time because he deserves it imo and i hope he loves Vegas as much as i did when i went for the first time.
re: Julian leaving with 250k, that was in 2008 because i remember him with the money in the man bag at Maclaren airport waiting for the return flight!
This is by far the best blog series ever posted on the site (since I joined).
Our man is getting up at 5-00am every day and spending hours working on this so that we can read this in the 'prime time' early evening UK time. It's fully up-to-date, lengthy, packed with interesting WSOP/Vegas anectoes, and all with pictures.

+1 i dont think ive ever done the +1 thingy till now
Hi Tikay, excellent blog as always although I have a feeling your health may take a turn for the worse when "Mother" arrives and reads it:))
In answer to your picture question I would guess they are painting the outside of the building and don't want to ruin the image of the hotel and therefore have erected the screen that you took a picture of.
I'm assuming the facade is to conceal the Secret Evil Lair - if they didn't have it there you'd be able to see the top of the missiles and the huge laser gun.
Day 13..... http://bit.ly/jDlm6o Includes chance to win a £110 Sky Roller seat! Posted by Tikay10
in response to the fake canvas, when i was out there two years ago i came across a couple of fake objects and in the morning woke up to find my head inbetween them!!! so i believe in vegas theres lots of fake stuff but the best place ever, just hope thewy doesnt have a few too many and think his room is up there!!

Bit of poker today, but worry not, it has buses & a monorail, too.
Loving the Busses, but can we have a picture of the trains outside the RIO if possible. You know the ones that are like a mile long or summit
Apart from the young lady standing on that bar in the downtown blog, there has been a total lack of cuticle watch pictures!
On behalf of Dylan, I would like to put a humble request in to see if this injustice can be rectified in future blogs. THANK YOU.
TRAINS/PLANES & BUSES = zzzzzzzzzzz
BIRDS/PIN UPS & BUSTS = yipeeeeeee

Steve
They erect a painted canvas one story high on top of a hotel and you don't even notice it.
And you wonder where the term 'Venetian Blind' comes from!
False floors...
I assume they either ran out of money when building it or the structure was too heavy for the sandy foundations in the desert??
GREAT blogs btw. Look after yourself TK you're heading for burn-out!
great blogs TK
They probably did it because they thought it would be funny
