is there a file i can access to edit my player notes or can it only be done on a table whilst playing?

I think you can only edit them if the player is sat at a table, i might be wrong though..

No, notes can only be made at the table. It's particularly annoying when you watch a player bust out and get some useful info about how he plays, but you can't make the note because hes gone.
