Villain had bought in for a tenner and was running like god, had hit quads twice in two orbits and also stuck it in miles behind for a massive outdraw to get stack the size it was.

Do I just stick it in right away? Do I try to milk it? Do I worry at all that I'm beat?

The only hand that's beating you that he could possibly have is QQ (he would have raised on the flop with AA). If he has QQ then there's nothing you can do about it, you've just got to pay him off.

Min re-raise to re-e-e-eel him in.

If they're slow playing set of Queens then good luck to them and it's just one of those hands...I'm not giving them credit for Aces as I'd expect them to raise that flop so for me, it's either Ace Queen or thinking they're invincible after running so good, called with Ace King hoping to take it away on the turn or after hitting, believes they've gone into the lead...either way I'm shipping my stack into the middle and happy whether they call or not!

No he could have AA buster everything is possible dont just discard possible hands. Only AA and QQ beat you shove you get called, he might well have 2 pair... nice pot :)

Anyway, I did what I think most people would have and shipped it in.

He insta'd with QQ as you would and I lost a £165 pot on 25/50p.

I know I'm always going to lose a big pot here but do I need to lose my whole stack?

Thats very unlucky. Its not a question of whether or not you need to lose your whole stack its more about maximising your winnings so getting it all in here was correct... long term.

You're not flatting the turn, you have the third nuts, it's cold but it's got to go in. Personally, I think the A is a tremendous card for you most of the time, getting hands like AQ to stack off with 4 outs and one card to come.

Cold deck, nowt to do about it I am afraid apart from take it on the poker chin.
