Imber What is the original scoring method as I think you have changed it on the first page of this thread. Is it just top ten? Thanks Boxster ..... with an 's' ;-) Posted by Boxster
yep - just top ten in each tourney and the weekly table - thanx corrected now sorry boxster
Have you got any spare time now to play poker though?
one "uncomplicated" question from me ... What's your real name? ..... apologies in advance if your real name is Imber (lovely unusual name btw) Ooooooooops, am I digging myself into a hole here??? ...
Your doing a brilliant job Imber, one little glitch in my picks though, I changed Irishrover to Ozzie08, but don't worry it doesnt affect my score as they both got 0. So as not to confuse matters more you can leave my picks as they are, i'll keep Irishrover.
wow Imber, what a fab job you are doing! Have you got any spare time now to play poker though? one "uncomplicated" question from me ... hi L - no you are not digging yourself a hole - but i will give you a little background into my alias. it actually is a real nickname i was given many, many years ago when i went to a single sex school up in your neck of the woods - and we were always known only by our surnames. fortunately there was one particular teacher who was bored with such formalaties and issued many of us with cryptic - yet very usable and plausible - names. when it was first explained to me why i had been called imber - i loved it. everybody - from that day on right thru school and youth clubs etc called me nothing else but imber - and this continued from close friends for ages afterwards. This dwindled a little bit but when i eventually had kids - i was determined to call my son ian michael barry edward or daughter isabel marie bella elizabeth - as my surname begins with "r" in the hope s/he too would be called imber as a nickname. it didn't happen as we called them something else - but i still sometimes regret not having won that particular argument. whenever i have to use an alias i have no problem in reverting back to my true identity - i am imber through and through - and to be called by this name brings back lots of memories of when i had no other identity. i guess it would make a good comp one day to see if anyone can guess why that alias was chosen (and it's also "genderless" which makes it good fun when i get called s/he on the forum and tables).
If I got any of them right then just say how many but not which ones they are...Ie: 2 right or none right.....then we can all have another go at cracking it .........just like the 'mastermind' game with the pegs.

thank you Imber for your detailed reply to my "uncomplicated" question. I am sure that Maxally's suggestion is far from correct (although it did make me giggle!) Tut-tut Pinkstone, detention for you, young man! lol
I am still a bit baffled though Imber, so here's my next question ...
Are you a man?????? (I think you are, but apologies if you are a lady)

The points system seems fine as is but I wouldn't have any objections with you tinkering with it in the future.
