Poker Points Games

Hi All
Each month we earn poker points for our play in various game, im wondering if anybody else would be interested in a poker points game? The structure could be a 6 seat sit and go with a buy in of say 50 points making a "prize pool" of 300 points , 200 for 1st , 100 for 2nd.
Another option could be playing like a cash table , for example blinds of 1point 2 point , max buy in 100 points , giving players an opportunity to increase their points total. This would be great for building enough points to try to satelite to events such as viva las vegas for those players who would normally not have enough points to qualify via the poker points satelites.
Any feedback, positive or negative would be appreciated.
Good luck at the tables
John

Dont think tis will be a gooer purely because of the way SKY have there points laid out. They try to encourage people to play more to get to the better rewards. Now say you got 10 ppl together for a 1000 pt sng entry per person would be £15 = £150 but final payout would be worth £275.

Step it up a gear to a mtt with 1000pt entry get 40 runners paying the £15 entry =£600 and the prize is £2000.

The whole aim of the rewards structure is to keep people grasping at the impossible (and reward any real high rollers who Sh/Would otherwise be playing on a site that offered them rakeback)

    40,000 points = £2,000.00

    36,000 points = £1750.00

    32,000 points = £1500.00

    28,000 points = £1250.00

    24,000 points = £1000.00

    20,000 points = £750.00

    16,000 points = £500.00

    12,000 points = £350.00

10,000 points = £275.00 + Entry to our Priority Club

    8,000 points = £200.00

    7,000 points = £150.00

    6,000 points = £125.00

    5,000 points = £100.00

    4,000 points = £75.00

    3,000 points = £50.00

    2,000 points = £30.00

    1,000 points = £15.00

Great post aiken, and thanks to those who have posted so far. I agree with what you say aiken, however i wouldnt expect these poker points games to count towards bonus requirements, of course the poker points earned for the monthly bonus should only be earned in paid tournament , sit and go and cash games.
It is purely for another way to play as we all know free play is just a shove fest , and maybe with the points option players who are still learning can use this method to try out new game plans etc. I do however agree with you that the likelyhood of it going ahead is very slim but still worth getting as much feedback as possible.

I look at cash for points as a rakeback scheme. Most poker sites either offer a loyalty scheme or you can sign up through a rakeback site, they basically achieve the same thing. What you need to establish is which poker site offers the best value through quality of opponents, rakeback and player traffice. Sky does well on most counts apart from player traffic can be low early in the day.

I did an analysis of the new turbo dyms and the percentage rakeback achieved by playing large volume (which is acheivable). I think I worked out by playing 2000 dym turbos rakeback is £930 assuming you are priority which is 46.5% rakeback. My understanding is that the industry standard is 30%.

It is possible to play low stakes and get above 20k points (I did it last month) if you put the time in.
