Advice on how i played this one please.

Just bombed out of a £60 gtd tourney, and i want to know - based on my thinking - if i could have / should have done it differently.

Just after the 1st break, 10 players left, blinds 50, 100. i'm shortest stacked - but still have 14bb. Third hand - see AA. Think - don't want to shove as i think i need a customer, so min raise , get one caller. Bet the flop, to be shoved on. I see the player as quite loose - so make the call.

Should i have folded to the re-raise, or should i have shoved pre-flop?

I would have shoved mate - even if no one calls still adding a big % to your stack

If you decide on this route sometimes this is gonna happen, but its not necessarily wrong. It is probably best to shove pre, because as you are short stack original limper may think you are doing this light and call anyway with hands you dominate.

I would have either shoved pre, or raised 300 to pot build and shoved flop. Either way its going in the middle, we are never folding here post flop.

@walesboy - i did think to shove but it would only have been 150 with AA and i thought i could/should get more!!??!!

@grantorino - quite tight as you can see from my stack, didn't really get any 'nice' starting hands until this one. I was watching my stack in relation to the BB and was comfotable enough even though i was 10/10 at the time - i just thought - 'this is the one'!! 

@tapeworm - 'Either way its going in the middle, we are never folding here post flop.' I think this probably sums it all up!!

yes it would, doesnt mean shoving pre is better though

tbh don't think shoving pre is optimal / it does depend on how you've been playing previous hands but villain has shown no strength whatsoever so i wouldn't open shove

your raise screams strength but i don't think it's too bad, a slightly bigger raise would also be ok

obv post flop is standard

also, villain looks fishy limping on button which gives you even more reason not to open shove, you want to extract as much value as poss and try to double up

Raise bigger pre, 300 for me and don't fold any flop obvz.
