1) Arsenal 1989 , Michael Thomas winning the league in injury time of the last league game vs pool. 2) Ashes 1981 - Headingly Test - Ian Botham and Bob Willis overturning what seemed like an inevitable aussie victory. 3) Ashes 2005 - Edgbaston Test - when Harmison took the last Aussie wicket when they nearly made the required target of 282 to win. 4) Frankie Detori winning all seven races on a racing card at Ascot.
Surely Liverpool coming from 3-0 down in Istanbul against Milan to win the European Cup, even an arsenal fan can appreciate that. One of the best games ever.
1981 Headingley Australia 401/9 England 174 all out and 135/7 in steps Ian Botham 149 not out then Bob Willis takes 8 - 43 and Australia all out for 111 Boys own stuff! Trevor will remember and probably still get goose bumps! Have a great evening!
I would probaably guess at Arsenals unbeaten league run a few years ago, but that is more than one moment so I,ll go for England winning the 66 cup final Have a good one MP Posted by MP33
Thought Trev was a little older than 2 in 66 - Can i change my mind and go for the Liverpool comeback in the Champs League against AC Milan as I seem to remember him going on about it once
I,ll stick with the Liverpool one but i reckon his other 2 are Dennis Taylors comebaack against Steve Davis and Ian Bothams destruction of the Aussies in the Ashes in 1981 has to be there
Eddie the Eagle Calgary 1988 soaring to the dizzy heights of a 59 metre Jump. then producing a hit single to commemorate his achievement. which sort of makes me wonder when Tikay's bringing out the "poker room rap" spelled with an R not a K lol May not be the height of excellence but certainly warmed British hearts! The jump that is not Tikay's crooning!

STEWARDS
I was gonna say Nick Faldo,s comeback but you agreed it was down mainly to Normans demise and not Flado,s briliance the other week
You also remembered him whispering something in his ear but you claimed not to remember what it was - I undertsand why you didn,t say now
i would go for Shane warne as an international contender, ryan giggs just as an ultimate pro and a one club guy, people like tiger woods and michael schumacher comes to mind... but for me contraversially it would be... Alan Shearer the best out and out striker the premiership as ever seen!!!!! Boom
greatest sports person, unless its an Arsenal player would have to be Sir Steve Redgrave
I didn,t catch if it was Brittish or not - if it was worldwide you could argue for Maradonna as he single handedly (literally) won a world cup with Argentina and serie A with Napoli

Your gonnaa have to do something special to beat that
