Some general observations

edited July 2011 in Poker Chat
I've been playing here for about 3 weeks now, here are some thoughts and suggestions:

- This site is fun. People are mostly nice, although some need to learn how to lose.

- The scheduling of tournaments is a bit off sometimes. I like to play deep stacks, and yesterday there were barely any most of the day, but then there were 6 between 7 and 8pm. Not only run they at the same time, but also at the same time as the main events.

- More people need to play PLO/PLO8. It's so much fun, at the early levels almost all hands are playable. Unfortunately most tournaments don't attract any runners. Yesterday I played in 2 and 3 person "MTTs". Please Sky, promote Omaha. Make it cheaper, change the timing, more guarantees, put it on tv, whatever.

- Similar to above, there should be mixed tournaments.

- The freerolls are a scam, spending points I get for spending real money is not free.

- I don't like that tournaments close so quickly after they finish, barely a chance to congratulate the winner, much less discuss key hands etc. Similar I don't like the prompt to close table after being eliminated, feels like extra effort to stay and congratulate/swear at the winner.

- Sky Poker is clearly rigged, because if it wasn't I would win more often and not some luckbox playing 59o and hitting a straight, not that I'm bitter.

    Agreed

Sky do listen to suggestions such as new tournies/scheduling so put down your thoughts and they will take a look.

Even tho other forms of poker are fun, you can't make people play them.  But yes I suppose there could be some more promotion.

Round of each would def be fun and might be a way of getting people into other games.  Good idea.

    - The freerolls are a scam, spending points I get for spending real money is not free.

The poker points can't be used on anything else. FWIW I think most other sites base their freerolls on a similar system as Sky do.

    Good point

Sky is not rigged. You don't 'deserve' to win.  Oh and although some need to learn how to lose contradictions ftw ;) haha
