ok this is the 7.45 deepie. £1.10 entry

The opponent is very active has a VERY HIGH VP% thingy. I cant think of one hand ive played post he hasnt been in. The check on the turn is simple. Hes never folding a K on the flop and felt i get better info checking and assessing the river. This pairs the 5 and a insta pot bet from the opponent.

Much better players than me will advise, I'm sure, but fwiw -  

Don't know what a high vp% means but I think you're right about the king - the check on the turn is very smelly.

Having checked in the hope you'd bet, his bet on the river is value town. I think I fold here and wait for a better spot.

You do have the option of repping AA or AK in the hole with a push but is it worth risking your tourney this early? If he has got a house he's never folding

What did you do? Don't tell me - you called and he had KK 55!

Why should he bet the turn? I think checking is fine!

if he has a high vpip and is passive he could easily be over-repping Ax, the only thing i would be worried about is his bet sizing, pot size bet often indicates he has it, but since you checked the turn he might believe you've given up on the pot and be bluffing, i call tbh

@Prop, vpip is 'voluntary put money into pot' .. basically means how often villain calls/raises pre flop, not including putting blinds in obv

By reads it's a call as you haven't got to credit him with hitting that initial flop however down to his betting i would put him on the k or 5 as he is calling the flop which if he had top pair he would be leading out, he has no draws to hang on for.
All my money is on him having A5 or 56 (suited) lol could be the magic K 6 of clubs but he would bet the turn

the problem is you turn check induces the river bet so you can't assume its because he's storng

I dont like it but i make the call.

When you check back the turn its a green light for him to make the move on the river, with the reads given, its a call. He could be doing this with worse hands. Tough spot. I think a bet on the turn folds anything but the nuts most of the time.

checking the turn can be a good move - in that you can induce a bluff on the river, where you may not get any more chips with the best hand betting the turn

but if you check the turn, you have to call the river - to be 'safe', bet the turn, probably lower variance, lower reward/loss

I've played quite a few of the 7:45 £1:10 DS tourneys in the last 2 weeks.  FWIW I'd be folding here!

I would prob have bet the turn to see how committed he was to his hand. Smacks of a house to me now.
I def DON'T want to put my tourney life at risk here.
