Look up the word ''TEAM'' on wilkipedia that will give you a clue.
If you break it down into individual wins counting then you would have to employ different tactics. I'm happy to score it either way and obviously the current method suits Team51 rather well. Any thought of changing would need to come from Mr and Mr Chuckle, because after all it's their baby.
I know we are doing well at the moment but that's not really a reason to cry foul.

The Forum DTD Team league is a seperate entity which the chuckle bros have no control over. It is run seperately but alongside the Forum DTD and is the sole responsibility of Hitman_RV.

The points scoring system was agreed prior to its inseption and the majority beleived it to be fair. I also agree with elsadog that it is a team league.
The more players a team get in the top 10 the more points you will receive and teams also already get bonus points for an individual win.
But if changing it helps get TPT to the top I would consider it Hee! Hee!

There will be NO change to the scoring system for Forum DTD as it's an individual Comp comprising of 3 Tourneys where the scores are added & the player with the Lowest Score wins the Prize as for the Monthly it's your best 3 scores added together.
As Pokertrev has said the Team League is run by Hitman RV and i'm sure he will answer any questions reguarding Team Standings & Team Scoring

The Scoring will never suit every party, fact is the way you feel TKP suffered this week is exactly as THS had suffered in previous week & months, in that we had the most tourney winners, but these individuals unfortunately let their whole score down with one or two bad results!
This week Team 51 managed a 2nd & 4th, whereas No other TKP managed to secure a top 10 place!!
The win situation has been addressed by awarding an extra point for a tourney win, and The main DTD win!
Hence Jaeger gettin the additional 2 points, [well done BTW], fact is, if another TKP had managed 7th or better, points scores would have been same, and you would have won on more wins, if they had been same, you would have won on the less runners rule!
Remember this whole team league thing evolved from a forum challenge between TKP [the originals] and THS, with only bout 12 v 10 LOLOL, so in a short space of time, it has taken off massively to dovetail nicele with Chris & Michaels individual league which has blossomed as well !
The soring rules were set in agreement with all team Captains & more vocal members LOL, [did take some explaining to maxally, LOL], but everybody seemed to be in agreement, and with a sporting trust we moved forward to the MONSTER it has become!!!
I hope you & everyone else are able to glean alot of enjoyment from it, a i do!! It seems funnily enuf that people take different things from it....
Some do not want to be in a team & enjoy thier independance!1
Some are focused on a team game & rail enthusiastically whether still in or even out of tourney!
Some just play an individual game, and take the team thing with a pinch of salt or less!
Some are not eben aware iof the DTD or Teams, Gl to them!!
But what it has been is a superb ice-breaker for both New or quiter players, and allowed others to have the same kind of Cameraderie that YOU in TKP have succesfully cultivated for a year or more!!
any serious change now would be difficult to say the least but am happy to POWOW with other captains or throw floor open to ideas....which we di do at start and as more TEAMS JOINED!! [A SIGN OF SUCCESS MAYBE, LIKE BREAKING THE CENTURY BARRIER]
Sorry for the Long-winded reply but i assure you this did not take as much time as calculating and checking and then probably correcting the league table, takes me!! Prob because i am of inferior intelligence to HitPup, LOLOL!!
So, much respect to, Michael Chris, and now Imber & others who are putting much more of their own time to the benifit of the forum, and i am proud of the effort,ethic & sportsmanship they put into their work!

thanx Hitman - I'm loving doing the fantasy league - it's having its teething troubles and we are still looking to see if the scoring system is right - but you did miss your name off the above list - the DTD is becoming an institution!!!!
I'm really not complaining, just making a suggestion. Picking only the top 10 individuals to count towards the team competition is counter-intuitive to me. As Michael and Chris do a great job in compiling the results, it would be fairly easy to score. You could then have a system whereby the winners of the individual events reduced their overall team's score by (say) 1 point, but that's probably unnecessarily messy.
Actually by this week's results, Team Poker Trev could give themselves a pat on the back.
TPT 6 + 8 + 9 + 11 = 34
TKP 1 + 12 + 13 + 22 = 48
T51 2 + 4 + 20 + 24 = 48
IND 3 + 7 + 19 + 21 = 50 (independents)
THS 10 + 17 + 18 + 31 = 76
TNP 5 + 26 + 34 41 = 116

In all honesty I'd vote to keep the team scoring as it is. However you change it those of us with less runners will always struggle.
It's all just a bit of fun at the minute to go along side the DTD so we may aswell leave it as is.

Lots of formats wre considered as this balloned, i actually like your idea of the independants or TEAM NO TEAM lol !! But thats not what they want!!
I feel the current format would allow say a new team of say 4 people to start & join in, as TNP did succesfully, & us in the first league of 2, when we only had 4 people, before throwin open a welcome to all!!
