double your money turbo tips

edited July 2011 in Poker Chat

playing in ur normal double ur money games the general concept from most people is that u play tight early and get more agressive as the game goes on but with the blinds going up so fast in these is it better to just be aggressive straight away to try and build a stack!!!!

You sort of answered the question yourself. Starting hand ranges in turbo dyms are much wider than normal ones. Its not long before the blinds are eating away at your stack, if you double up early my advice is to hold onto those chips for dear life as even pushing with ak will put you back to square one if you get donked out by some muppet who calls with something like q5, and they will.  Position as with all other forms of poker is key, raising up in early position with raggy aces leaves you with a decision if someone behind you repops it (usually all in).

Ohh and if your in the blinds with John Connor, and he open shoves, he quite often has nothing but will still suck out on you!
