No arguments for fixing if hourly charge???

edited August 2011 in Area 51
To eliminate the arguments of fixing, bad RNG's and rake profits why don't poker sites set up some hourly charge tables? Most casinos have them for players who HATE rake??????

there is no argument...its not fixed.....

even so what rate would you be willing to pay.....you would rather pay say....£5'/£10 an hour?

i think rake is better because you only pay it if you win the hand(cash)

Of course it is! The hands are pre determined so they must be fixed for a player to win, no particular player, any player, but the rng has fixed the hand already to dump some poo onto someone on the river, sometimes its me, sometimes its not me lol! As for rake, the hourly rate is a daft idea, unless it was like 50p/hour lol

Can't see it working, if theres an option for this kind of table it will be reg filled, or more likely not filled at all.

Loads of fish have 1 buy in, sometimes it's not even a full buy in. They wont commit to an hour if they could bust within 4 or 5 hands.

"Hit and runners" wouldn't play either, this type of player is also normally a fish. An absense of these would reduce the action for obvious reasons.

Also I'd like to be able to leave whenever I want, due to maybe tilt, the table getting alot tougher, a certain player giving me jip etc. If I'd paid rake up front I'd feel more obliged to stick around.

They would only work if all tables were made to be "hourly charge" tables. And then loads would leave the site!..so they wouldnt really work at all.

    IMO ofc.

The Gala casino on Queensway (right next to Bayswater Road tube) rakes 5% of the total pot to a maximum of £5. This is on the £1/£2 tables. They're taking £80 an hour at least off the tables. Criminal.

thats my point sky will be making that amount at least so if they had a static fee it would be at least £10 a man per hour....

not sure if it is criminal though......5% rake is the norm, and there must big some pretty big pots to generate £80 rake.........so someone must be winning:)
