    No idea what a team is for or the benefits but I'm gonna jump up and down and ask to be picked anyway!

    I'm new here (joined Saturday) so none of you have probably seen me at the tables yet but I plan on playing a lot of MTT's and the odd cash game here.

    Results so far:

    1st: £83.25 (with bounties)
    1st: £100.00
    3rd: £18.60
    1st: £68.00
    1st: £51.00

    I'm up for joining a team but who wants me? I haven't played on Sky Poker for a couple of years but did get my first decent win on here of £1,100. This was my first site and had a few final tables in my first 6 months. Since leaving I've been playing on iPoker and have had numerous final tables and 3 wins in large MTT's.     I played the 12K Bounty Hunter tonight and cashed in 10th. Got £72 for 10th and £132 in Bounties. Still looking for a team and have had zero offers so far. Am I wearing the wrong aftershave or something?lol.

    Which in some ways is a great position to be in, however, there are other teams who could do with a few more members to even things up a little and make it more competitive, so I am only trying to be as fair as possible to the other teams.

    TBH - looking at your stats, I would take you on in a flash, but it would be unfair to the other teams to take on all available players. Its quite a struggle to get a full squad and I want to give them every opportunity to succeed.

    I've also just finished 2nd in the £500 Bounty Hunter getting 52 for second and 31 in Bounties. Is there no teams out there who would like to add me to their ranks? Considering I don't know what i have to do once I become a team member, I seem to be fighting pretty hard to get it.lol

    Yeah I am still wondering that shaun, there isn't anywhere that fully explains what teams participate in but it would seem there are leagues (not sure if they are all offline events though). There is the sky poker premiership to but registration is closed and I have no idea when it reopens (can't find much info on it). It would be great if someone could post here what the deal is with what teams do and also it would be much appreciated if anyone could give a mention to any other community events that might be worth taking part it =).

    Nicely said matey. I've been looking for a while now and can't find much out about the the teams or what participation would entail. Guess we will have to wait till someone brings us into the fold.lol
    Still agree about us starting our own team. I might even stay as an individual and take on the teams myself.lol

    I'm definetly up for starting a team as I'm not feeling very wanted by any existing teams. We just need to find out what the crack is and come up with a good name =). How about a charlie sheen inspired name "Team Duh Winning!", just the right level of arrogance in the name to inspire tilt on opponents =D.

    Hi Shaun84 & cgoldie.

    Every Monday all the teams play in the "Monday Forum DTD" - Link  /> HERE

    To participate all you have to do is put your names down on the thread I have mentioned above.

    The Monday Forum DTD Tournies are:

    7.15pm Deepstack (£2.20)
    7.45pm Deepstack (£1.10)
    8.30pm Take On Tikay (£2.20)

    Total Cost: £5.50

    Your best average score is calculated from these 3 tournies will be added up and there are extra prizes available if you finish 1st and also if you have the best average in the month.
    To qualify for the Monthly prize you will need to play all 3 of these tournies every week. Yhere is also a NEW Forum DTD thread posted up every week and you will need to put your name on it every week.

    The Team Thing.
    The Teams were set up by a few peeps like myself just for a bit of added fun. You dont need to be part of a team to take part in the forum DTD on Mondays but it does give it a little extra banter.

    It would be quite easy to set up another team if you wish and it may make it even more interesting tbh.

    I will help you in any way I can so to enable you to have a fun experience on here, however, if you do not wish to start your own team and none of the other teams happen to see your posts on here by Monday, I will take you on board. Does that sound fair?

    ps +1 to Trev's post,

    I can see a small problem here, in that this thread may not be checked, by Team Captains & Capo's, as i think Sky set it up!! The Team threads being point of contact before, Now all in One place should help!!

    The Teams just started spontaniously revolving around existing rivalries & friendships, with people enquiring on the Team threads etc, I will do my best to check this thread regularly from now on!! So No-one feel ignored!!

    All teams thus far have demonstrated a Sporting ethic, & Respect for each other in tournaments & posts, a rare thing in all walks of life nowadays, and Long May it continue!!

    Good luck All , Hope the last 3/4 posts help explain!!

    anyone looking for a new team member, i have only been on sky poker a few months, but have already built up a good bankroll from a £20 start, play alot of double your money tables with alot of success and love MTT and have had a number of final tables in Bounty hunters and qualify twice for tv bounty hunter but had bad beats in them. Won the pub sky poker national event in 2007 at g casino in luton and play alot of live poker at casino where i have taken MTT's on a regluar basis.

    I'm up for it Goldie. Start a new team with a 20 player membership. Only players who regularly cash. I reckon we could be competitive fairly quickly if we get a small but quality membership. I think I'm ok, You think your ok and from the looks of it ButchJK could have better stats than both of us. If your interested then PM(Private Message) me with some details and I'll be happy to start adding my cashes to our team total. 4 tournaments played since coming back and have a 10th and a 2nd in two main event MTT's.
