    Going to be giving sky a rest for a few days guys, qq in the main vs j2 he flops trips 2s, so that crippled me... then kk vs 44 in the mini knocked me out and then to top it all off i make a good call with aj for the guy to turn over jq and turn a flush in the 5k.... time for a break i think gl guys...........

    Gl all tonight - I forgot it was Monday!!!  so missed registering for the DTD games.  Going to play 2 and 3 anyway though lol.

    Thanks Geldy for the gl charm earlier - I hope it comes back to you in the mains!

    And gl to everyone tonight - hope the figures for next week will be even nicer!!

    Right I've had enough, I'm taking a long break from Skypoker, after DTD.

    Just 4-bet 12BB to a 4BB raise pre with KK, called by A9s for half his stack,
    set him in on flop, but he's only gone and flopped trip 9s ffs.

    It's been said plenty times before on here, some regs just can't lose.

    9th in DTD3 and 1st in DTD2. Going out in 2 hands in DTD1 obviously pays off lol. Well done Pom Trev Pokey and Keith great night for TPT. Ty Trev Martin Geldy and Pom for a great rail as usual. Apologies if I missed anyone. It's been a great last 4 days for me and TPT are the best.

    Hi Red & Steeley
    Sorry to see you having a bad time of it on the tables at the mo, it really sucks at times and I truly know how you feel. (I've been there many times)

    If there is one thing I have changed in my games, its how I play my pocket pairs, infact, unless it's late on in a tourney, I really don't rate them at all anymore.

    I prefer to get in cheap with them and look to improve and very rarely risk my stack with them anymore. Connected cards are now my big favourite, i'm always looking to make a hand up that is going to beat a pocket or top pair and this has certainly been paying dividend for me just lately.

    It's not to everyone's taste, but if we sit and think about it.....a pocket pair or top pair is the lowest ranked hand we can have other than A High, we also only have 2 outs to improve our hand to a set.

    I try to use holding cards that can make up a better hand than a pair and I also try to control how many chips it's costing me to try and make up that hand. I am happy to get them in on the turn or the river once I feel I have the better hand and one that is bigger than a pair.

    Position and pot control become much more important aspects of the game using this style, but when we get it right and bust QQ. KK or AA its an awesome feeling - you won't make many friends with this style of play either, but if you like chips its certainly worth practicing, even if you don't get it right the first few times.

    It's not always that simple and it doesn't always work out if we are not flopping too well on the night, but once you grasp the basics, it certainly has helped overcome mr variance for me anyway.
