I know I'm going to sound like someone who 1. doesn't pay attention, and 2. always says "next time", but when will this event be running next? I would take part but I'm going to be spending all day today running around like an idiot and I probably won't get home until well after two of today's three MTTs have started.
Real life has been horrible (I won't go into the details) and, poker-wise, most of the weekend was the same, too. I had an awful run, especially in DON SNGs (running into sets time after time after time is not fun) but I seem to have turned that around.
I'll post the MTT cashes later tonight or tomorrow. There have been a few here and there but nothing to write home about, really.

I feel sicker than the proverbial parrot.
Bad beat after bad beat. AQs<ATos, ATs<A7os, AQos<A5os, all all-in pre-flop. Three people made three-outers against me back-to-back-to-back without my superior Ax holding up even once. QQ<K5os. KK<JTos. Again and again, on table after table, I have got my chips in good and been punished for it today.
I'm not going to pretend I haven't made some bad calls myself and paid the price for it but time after time I have done exactly the right thing and got exactly the wrong result.
Don't even get me started on the coin-flips. If I've had the pair pre-flop then the other guy has made his bigger pair after the flop, If I've had the over cards then the pair has held up. I gave up counting how many I had won vs how many I had lost when the it was two won to 13 lost (a success rate of only 15 percent).
I know that that's poker and that we should all expect some variance from time to time but this has been brutal.
I did flop quad aces from the button once, but the small blind folded and the big blind had fractionally more than one blind left any way. And, of course, to make up for it, that was one of the tables where I later got beaten despite dominating my caller (AQos<A5os).
I'm not in the red (obviously I'm down a nice chunk this evening) but if this carries on then I will be by the weekend.
Someone say something to cheer me up, please!

Downswings can be very tough to take and we do tend to see many more bad beads, loose calls etc at 6max online than we ever will in a live game 9-10 handed. we are also involved in more hands, so maybe its just more noticeable or maybe it is because we do tend to get drawn into more hands online in 6max games than we ever would live?
There are some very inexperienced players on here and in online poker in general, but Sky seems to attract it's fair share, however, this is really the kind of players we want to be playing against, we just need to find a way to dodge the bullets, find better spots before risking all our chips and limit the risks of losing our stack to the loose callers & stations.
Try to accumulate a stack by controlling the pots & keeping the pots smaller, don't over inflate pots unless you are happy to risk your stack to a bad beat or a loose call. Once we have accumulated a stack, we are then in a position to absorb a bad beat and hopefully recover.

only advice i would make is not to limp in as much. avoid playing the hand, or raise and take it down pre, is better than going ahead on the flop and behind by the end. (and yes i am nit-picking, not a lot you can do against villains like that). example AT oop - bin it or squeeze pre - never just make it up
genuinely sorry about the SPT semi hand. only one seat so i am always going to be a bit aggro, and you 100% had to call with a 60/40, i was just lucky not to be dominated i thought. sick for me to win it with runner runner flush though, just to turn the knife on your day. it helped me take the 2nd place cash though so thanks for that.
