The micro cash could have been very nice if I had the guts to go with this. Table was quite passive but I was faced with 2 allins and it was for my topurnament. I ran out of time before I could decide what to do but i was leaning towards a fold. Should i have been braver? . Any thoughts? interesting question - might be worth posting in the clinic (with the result and villains name edited out of course)
Hi dagg I ran some numbers on a generalised version of this hand Fd vs tptk vs set you only have 30% equity if set is 2prs instead only increases to 35% (it's the tptk that gets most benefit.) so with no fold equity then it looks like a fold Posted by GELDY
Fold equity isn't really a concept that I knew about. However I've just googled it and I understand that it represents the chances (shown as a %) of getting an opponent to fold if I bet. However as both my opponents are allin that means the fold equity is zero. Is that correct Geldy?
therefore the actual equity of the hand is the only thing that matters
if you had fold equity
you could play some hands that technically you do not have the hand odds to play if you reckon there is a good chance they will fold instead of playing the hand
It's why aggro players can get away with raising with worse hands because the oppo may just prefer to fold than to tangle worth them
in this hand if your oppo 1 had raised and villain 2 called you could then consider shoving if you thought there was a chance they would fold

Yeh interesting question.Don't know laundsey but we know tom is good. He's not shoving there unless he knows he's ahead.or is on a flush draw I think. So your 75 is so far behind. Then again the blinds are high and this is a good spot if you think the flush draw you have is the only one.Don't know pot odds mate but to me it's just up to how your feeling. That's my view anyway mate.
I've probably called it sometimes and folded it in others. We know we are well behind once we have 2 all-ins before us, but it very tempting with the gutshot straight draw & flush draw with that stack in the middle.
In the end your gut feeling, infuenced by the 2 all-ins in front of you turned out to be the correct decision, so I think we have to be happy with our play here imo.

Your thinking was exactly like mine Martin. Laundsey was very quiet and I knicked a load of blinds off him so had to take his allin seriously. If he was the only allin I would have definately called but Tom threw a spanner in the works. All I had time to do was roughly work out my number of outs and the fact that I would be top 5 if I won the hand. And when the heart came on the turn it was a case of if only. Those are the type of situations that a time bank is a great help.
