Sky Poker Forums is upgrading its look! Stay tuned for the big reveal!
Hi, this is my first post on here, sorry if there's a similar thread already but I haven't been able to find one.
I was just wondering if anyone could recommend any good books on poker. I'm mostly interested in books based more on MTTs and S&Gs rather than cash games. I'm also interested in all the maths behind the game so does anyone know a good book to get me started that covers these things?
Many thanks for all your help!

An MTT/SnG based book I recommend highly is Kill Everyone by Lee Nelson and Tysen Streib. It's the follow up to Kill Phill (another good read but not specific to MTT). Dont let the title put you off, there is no murder involved.
Its not the easiest book to get hold of but Google is your friend.
As for the maths, 'The Theory of Poker' by Sklansky is a good shout. Disclaimer: includes lots of non-hold'em examples (stud, razz, etc), but the basic math concepts are somewhat transferable.
Hope that helps!
The books he recommended though included The Theory of Poker (one which helped him the most), Super System and Harrington on Hold'em.
Thanks,
Dave
Theory of poker excellent, not Holdem specific though and has no tourney strat iirc. Also its a tough read. However if you want to start thinking about your game the right way its a must
Phil Gordons little green book is decent, supersystem 2 as well but prob moreso for cash
