edited August 2011 in The Poker Clinic
Is there anything else I can do here? Or do I just have to get over it and move on?

maybe I'm being results orientated but obviously I wouldnt have wanted to raise bigger on the flop in that situation. When i flopped 2 pair and he flopped a better 2 pair, i was always in trouble.

How big are you betting the flop in that situation? You working on the basis that (at this limit) if you're getting called, you'll get called for virtually any bet?

you have to forget that he had AQ this time, there are loads of aces he can have, all of which you're beating, and he's not folding them if you made it 20p, which in turn allows you to bet the turn bigger and so on.

winning a bigger pot /> winning a smaller pot

bet flop bigger, bet river bigger

You lost the minimum here, but against the range of hands villains can have here you are leaving a lot of money behind

Defo pot bet that flop if only to give bad odds on any flush draw.

Turn after being called would bet 45p.

River pot bet or close to shove.

    MAYBE? lol!
Just try and work by the basis, unless stack sizes intervene, of betting atleast 75% of the pot with strong hands .. like i said in different situations with stacks and pot sizes those bets will differ .. but as a general rule

Bet pot and get all in on flop, if they have AQ ul cooler

bet more each street pot at this level 2 pair is the nuts

Defo make a note of how bad and passive villain is
