age limit on SPT

edited October 2009 in The Sky Poker Tour
Hi guys,

I was just actually woundering, since i am 19 and as a result alot of places do not accept me into them for poker events. I was looking into doing the satalites for the Newcastle and Glasgow SPT events as living in the Scottish Borders, these are the easier accsessable venues for me, also knowing people in or around both areas allows me somewhere to stay should it be nessassary.

Im i eligable to qualify for these events or is that out of the option because im under the age of 21?

Many thanks,

Don

As far as im aware, 18 is the age for all casino's in the UK ? But if you wanted to qualify for vegas, that is 21+

The minimum age for entry into a Licensed Casino in the UK - & thus be eligible for the SPT - is 18.

Remember, though, to BRING ID! If you are not already a G-Casino member, you will NOT GAIN ENTRY to the Casino unless you have ID, & Sky Poker have no authority or ability to vary that..

Look forward to seeing you there.

Thanks Tikay, Ive got a regional event that i have qualifyed for at the Maybury Gala Casino in Edinburgh which is either held Late November or Early December just waiting on confirmation on that.

Will that include a registration for the other casinos once registered with that one?

    Hi Don,

No - Maybury is a Gala, owned by Coral-Gala- Eurobet, whilst G-Casinos & Grosvenor is owned by Rank Group. So seperate Membership is required for Gala Maybury (a very fine building in Art Deco style, by the bye) & G-Manchester.

But once you are a member of either Group, that Membership will transfer across to all Casinos in the same ownership.

If you get chance, have a meal in the restaurant in the Maybury. We found it an excellent standard and not to pricey.

Plus if you know you have qualified in advance of the date, go to the online casino site and pre register, it will save you time. BUT DONT FORGET YOUR ID.
