Whats the move here? Really trying to improve and playing my draws correctly seems a bit weak at the moment to be honest. Villain just joined table, 1st hand i think so no reads. sorry.

I would flat IP getting great odds.

Yes you can raise but he ain't folding a pair so whats the point plus you have Q high right now.

Raise here m8, two ways you can win him folding or hiting your cards on the turn/river. lets say hes holding 2 black aces you are 50/50 on the flop. your a HUGE favourite against A9,a8 AK etc....you can never go wrong by raising this board and if he shoves you can snap call knowing you would never be a huge under-dog!

I would raise, calling prob ok too. Depends how much fe you have and how often he pays off when you hit if you flat

Right, i usually raise, they flat call me and then bet in to me again taking the odds away from me so that if i carry on its basically the wrong decision.

What if i raise him  say a quid and he flats and the turn is a total dud card?

Seems raising the flop and folding the turn is very bad and i keep getting told that calling with the odds against me will cost me loads. I find this situation happens quite often at this level, i think its a leak in my game.

Ok, well donk/call flop, shove blank turn is a pretty unusual line. But if he does you need to decide have you the odds to call. If he takes this line you prob need about 3/1, less if you think a Q or T is good enough for you. If you are not getting odds fold.

raise now (calling isn't bad at nl4) if he bets out on turn shove or fold if you miss turn

against a good player, raise, i 4nl seems they call regardless so the idea you win the hand by them folding becomes mute
