just went out of the tsp classic at the end of the torny in 17th place but why oh why would this player risk all his stack on a gut shot this far into the torny?? I know were both short stacked but isnt there such a thing as knowing when to fold and picking your spot. oh well thats poker i suppose but i hate going out like that

yea maybe wanted to see the flop rather than some one calling with an A and getting lucky not much of a gambler lol

I just like to keep it simple, you can't be raising that much and then folding really. Then if an ace comes on the flop you're not going to like it so I just get it in pre. You've then got the chance to just nick the blinds then too.

hmmm maybe jam it after he re raised but all in all i didnt play it wrong the guy shouldnt of been calling there on the flop. I did what i was intending to do hit what i needed to hit and then made my move. Never in a month of sundays am i calling the flop in that spot when only 17 to go for big money.
