"Hijack" position?

edited August 2011 in Poker Chat
Been referred to recently in a couple of threads.  After googling I'm confused. Could someone explain it in PLAIN english?  I know it's 2 before dealer so I'm assuming it's possible if you get rid of the CO and dealer your in position next orbit??  Apologies if this is a very basic question. But if you don't ask....

Its the seat one before (ie to the right of) the CO, 2 before the btn.

This used to confuse me also, particularly as in 6 max utg +1 and hijack are the same.

Hijack position is not so important/relative in 6 man tables imho

HJ is only important in full ring IMO.

for me in 6 max u have

SB, BB, UTG, MP, CO, BTN

    nice and simple.
