Should this be a 4 bet shove on the flop?

edited August 2011 in The Poker Clinic

I've been sat at the table for about an hour or so & even with players coming & going it's been pretty lively.

X has been at the table since I joined. When I first sat down he had a stack of about £13 odd & has already reloaded once since then. He'd lost a few biggish pots in the past 10-15 minutes so I think he's quite tilty at this stage. Once he shoves the flop I'm snapping him off in a heartbeat.

Y is proper aggro. He's only been at the table about 10 minutes or so & got a double up on his stack in an AQ vs. AA AIPF hand. He's been very active & has been getting involved in the vast majority of pots by either open raising small (min or sometimes 3x) or just flatting raises from pretty much any position. Unfortunately other than the AA hand I've seen none go to showdown.

Like my other post this is pretty much the perfect flop for my hand but 3 way I'm a little wary of a possible flush draw.

Once Y flats the all in should I just be getting it in here or is flatting ever OK to try & get it in on a later street?

    Not worried about x.

If Y is very agro, I reckon quads of pocket 7s are very possible when he just flats. You don't have any fold equity against Y, so I wouldn't bother waiting for the turn when you can get it all in now.

    Pretty east shove imo!

shove. no point in flatting he cant fold anything. Hes unlikely to have QQ+ so the range that beats you is pretty small.

Snap shove for me, can't see how he can have a 2 and 77 would be unlucky. Most likely an awful call for a FD.

You can NEVER flat half your stack here unless you have 77 lol.

    Thanks peeps.

I did flat & got it all in on the turn. TBH, as soon as I called I regretted it & thought I should have just shoved it in. As it was he was on a draw & hit but I ain't bothered about that cos in hindsight I think he's calling a flop shove regardless.
