How would you have played this hand pre flop

Gents how would you have played this hand pre flop. When i was re-raised, the play confused me a bit & i thought maybe he had Aces or Kings as i couldn't make up my mind what to do i laid it down for damage limitation. Should i have called the re-raise & see the flop to hope to gain a set?

I would have raised the "406" on the flop then flattered his bet when the "393" came and raised him all in when the "648" hit the river

BTW my friend only players involved in the hand can look at hand historys using the hand ID.
