All these guys seemed loose so didn't want to shove and get possibly numerous callers.

Yeh I see what you mean but if there's like 3 other people in the pot and assuming that they all may well have an ace or a king it just seemed a bit too risky.
I think I was just being too tight I guess lol.

No-one  likes to lose money, and what you are saying is that , by raising / going all in / calling, in this spot, you will lose money a chunk of the time.... and, yes, that is true.

However, in poker, we don't get many sure things.
Therefore, we have to try and make lots of decisions which are, on average, going to make us a profit.

This is one of those spots, and is a very profitable one.

We happen to be a 60% favourite against the hands the other players have, and we only have to put about 25% of the money into the pot. Sounds like a good deal to me.

Ok, so we lose 4 times out of 10, and occasionally we run into Aces or Kings, but you have  to develop a  bit of a thick skin to take the hits.
Just remember, you can't win a pot if you fold.

Please tell me that was a mis click.

Firstly I'm definitely 3 betting here. You've got a premium starting hand & you need to at least try & get rid of some of the junk.

Secondly once king gets his stack in I can't get my stack in quick enough.

You say they've all been loose so you have to assume that their range here is wider than you'd probably normally expect. Yes, one of them might have AA/KK but even if they do it's just standard stuff, more so at this level.

If nothing else I hope you made notes on all of them.

    Jesus Christ.

When guy shoves for his last 38p you HAVE to raise here, big, over £1 then call shove.
