    The weird thing is.......

I was playing Live, at Luton, & Lisa sent me a text which said....

"Boss, average is 9,150, I have 34,080, whst should I do?".

Like I'd know what to do - when did I ever have a 4 x Average Stack after 3 Levels!

But really, we are all incredibly proud of Lisa, she's coming on a bomb. We are doing next Saturday's Show together, & have organised a bit of a poker strategy session before the Show. She has excellent intuitive poker skills, & once she learns the strategy ropes - which are all very simple - she'll be some player.

When I first worked with Kara Scott, she had never played Poker - look what she achieved. Aisling ditto, a complete poker newbie when she landed at Sky Poker, Ladies World Champ now. (I hasten to add I had nothing to do with their poker education!). Lisa may well travel a similar path.

I is as proud as Punch, innit.

I played as well as I can, but lost my crucial late-stage flip with A-K v T-T. Standard stuff really, variance doing it's thing.

Prior to the Tournwy, I had my first DC session in about 6 months, £3 - £3, & managed to nick £550, so that was pretty pleasing.

Dealer's choice - a game where the dealer gets to choose what variety of poker is played for that hand.

Usual suspects at the DC game?  Was Mo there (dunno if thats his real name, calls everyone Billy)...gotta love his game shame he doesn't play NLHE often!  I need to learn DC so bad!

Was gonna go play cash but need to grind online.  Might be going Sunday for cash and the 100 tournie so might see you then.

    My apologies Barry.

    DC = Dealers Choice.

DC is only played "Live", & the Player on the Button (in theory, though not practice, the Button is the Dealer) gets to choose the game from a pre-selected List of games. The list variers from Casino to Casino, but at Luton the list is Texas (which nobody chooses), Irish, (3, 4 5, or 6 card), Omaha, Omaha High-Low, Stud, Stud High-Low, & Super-Stud. So, 4 flop games, & 3 non-flop games.

It's extremely dangerous, & volatile, & nobody should play it unless thry are well-rolled, because whatever cash you have in front of you, will end up in the pot quite often, as hands need to be protected.

I flopped the absolute nuts last night in one hand, & (correctly) Passed to a £15 Bet into a pot of £15. Work that one out! Unless you can do that, you should never play DC, it's a brute of a game.

Many players keep asking when Omaha will arrive at Sky Poker - it will, quite soon - but although it's my game of choice, I worry terribly about it's arrival. No game busts bankrolls quicker than Omaha, & so that's a worry, when inexperienced players plsy Omaha, it usually ends in tears.

Pretty much the usual suspects, yes, including Jeff Buffenburger, but no, Mo was absent.

Mo does call everyone "Billy" - or more correctly, "a Billy". (A "Billy" is a fish").

Mo's real name is Mohammed Muse, his nick being "No Muse" ("is good news"....).

You may be surprised to know he plays the big Cash Tables on Sky Poker quite often.

His game is like yours - unfathomable. He once called me with 4 high on a Flop of A-K-9 - & won. (Runner-runner Flush).

"How on earth did you make that Call, Mo?" I asked.

"I heard voices, in my head" said Mo.

    Scary stuff.

He's had some incred results in Live Tourneys, but his Trade-Mark is to amass a huge stack, terrorise the Table, then donk off inexplicably. So he has another Nick - "Spewy Mo".

Top, top, bloke, & I like him a lot.

    Hi tikay

Thanks for that, having played nomaha, I pesonally do not like the game at all, but funnily enough have not lost at it, I will still keep well away, bargepole springs readily to mind :)

and that is why I have watched 50 Omaha videos in the past month as well as getting in 12k hands on Stars PLO10.

sigh that 42 hand is gonna be with me foreverrrrrrrrrrrrr

Yeah I like him too, very good player IMO.  The couple of sessions that we played together we both managed to get some 5bet bluffs thru on each other which was fun.  Makes the game a lot more interesting than the usual limp/call fest that is Luton cash.

I'd liek to know what his username on here is, probably played him a lot tbf.

VERY few Players can even try 5 betting, but it's standard for Mo.

It would be wrong for me to reveal his Sky Poker Alias, but it's not hard to work it out. You'll know it when you see it, & you'll also know when you've been Mo'd. ;)

When you see all the moany-woany "how could he call with that junk?" threads on here, I dread to think what they'd say if they played Mo. And Mo is profitable, too.

Not at all.. I'm all about the gossip ;)

Having the weekend off to babysit my neice..She's 4 and I'm scared to go to sleep incase she breaks or something whilst in my care!!

Thanks for all the lovely comments and I'm thrilled that Tikay is proud of us girls. He's been a generous soul and willing to spend his precious time helping us with the strategy side of things! Honestly, I know I'm saying nothing you all don't already know but the man is a legend and a gentleman.

The only dampener is that I am really sad that a bad call on my behalf was the preverbial last straw for Elsadog. I've looked for that hand to go over it but can't find it. I no doubt I deserved to lose it :( As much as I obviously want to win, I do want to play well. I really hope he comes back and allows karma to rectify the situation.

    Back Monday night!

    xxLM

    Hi Lisa Marie

I think you will find that 4 year olds are a lot tougher than you think, beleive me, I have had two kids, I know, the most likely one to break is you :)

I dont think you should worry too much about the particular hand you are on about, it was AA v KK and the K came, I am not sure you could have folded the KK, I cant remember who bet originaly, but remember you both ended "all in".

These things happen in poker, thats what makes it the game it is.

If you are on the site on a Wednesday evening, there is a deepstack that I had the honour of naming after the great man, for those exact reasons.

    See you Monday

    Take carexx
