3 Barrel 1/2 stacker?

edited September 2011 in The Poker Clinic
From todays session on the anonymous tables on party, can't remember much other than I dont expect him to peel this flop with random ace high's. Thought's on turn and river shove in a vaccum, as I can't really remember much only that I thought that on the turn there is so much pair + draw in his range that barreling a river blank was my plan.

In a vacuum really don't like firing the third barrel when the river pairs the board.  Doesn't change anything really unless the villain has you betting flopped second pair.  Again in a vacuum short stackers in general don't fold when they are this deep.

Turn bet I like, you're representing hitting a lot which should bring a fold from a lot of their range.  When they flat I give up unless I hit a piece simply because I don't think he's in a folding mood.

Then again I suck at HU NLHE Cash so I could be well off the mark.

Nah you are right that paired river is not the ideal card to bluff and isn't a "blank".
