    Couldn't sleep

    Been wracking my brains.

Cant decide wether Young Gun looks more like Dierdre Barlow or Ken Barlow.

Prob a combination of the 2.

With abit of Dale Winton, Michael Barrymore, Bruce Forsyth, John Coffey, and an Aadvark mixed in.

    Nice bloke tho.

Sorry folks, I actually played poker tonight :) It was fun........ Then it wasnt fun...... Then it was fun again........ Morning aint gonna be fun like.  Anyway.... I dunno how to do bank transfers or owt like that, I'll have to suss that out tomorra. I had no doubt that the community would deliver the goods on this occasion, cracking bunch of people u are. The money doesn't matter at the mo, all that matters is we get the the news to Michael asap, we can sort all the rest out later. When I sober up, like..... So I'll be in touch next week.  :) gn, gb.

how about a locked (invite only) freezeout later today.

all who put there names down here are invited to play, each registers yet sits out.  you play dohhhhhhh and win.

it could be a £10, £5 or £2 entry fee, no rake.  best might be a £2 unlimited rebuy.

    run one at 3pm, 5pm and 7pm.

Nice idea, Rob, but Sky Poker could & would not permit such a thing I suspect, as it would not pass Compliance scrutiny. In additiion, it is entirely possible that one player may take advantage of the situation & actually "play", then run away with the moolah.

Bank TX is best, I think.

Can i jus ask what if you get more then the tickets JJ? or are we going to divide it equally or what not, i am pretty sure that you will get more then enough people lol

I can pretty much guarantee that Dohhhhh WILL get more than needed to pay for the tickets, & I have covered this in my e-mail to him.

I suggested the surplus should be shipped to Chris, & used to cover travel exs, 2 nights in a local hotel, & spending money. I cannot imagine anyone would object to that.

Nah anything over the said amount (plus a personal donation) will be transferred to Scouse to go towards travel/beer/snap etc.

Thanx all, great response from everyone.

Wow guys and gals As you know I love the community on Sky Poker, and this is the reason why, You've all left me speechless with your genorosity.

I am going to be paying Michael a visit with all the messages of support and also of course the confirmation of the tickets I received from JJ last night.

I know Michael will be absolutely over the moon to realise so many of you who he classes as friends have chipped in, and, offered their support, from a personal point of view I'd like to thank you all so so much.

JJ you are a star mate thank you for your efforts in putting this all together and to all those who have contributed thank you so much.

If anyone wanted to know what community spirit was all about then this thread should be enough to enlighten them.

    Chris

Hi all, as you know I went to see Michael today, and it is fair to say he was overwhelmed by all the messages and gestures of support from the forum, so thank you all.

The great news is he was discharged from hospital this afternoon and will I am sure be back on here in the next couple of days to thank you all personally.

Thank you all again for the kind thoughts and especially to JJ (Dohhhhhhh) for coming up with the idea, and putting it into motion.
