Unbalanced tables

edited September 2011 in Poker Chat
I was playing in the 10-15pm deepstack last night, there were only 13 runners so a total of 65,000 chips in play. When we got down to 8 runners the tables were rebalanced. So we have table 1 with the top 4 players with total chip stack of 45,000 and table 2 with the other 4 players with a total of 20,000 chips. How on earth is this balancing? What chance do players on table 2 have of making the top 3? As it was only 1 player made the top 4 from table 2 (top3 were paid). And it still took 3 hours to complete with the bubble lasting an hour!
