What was I check-raising with? A hand worse than K8?

I saw some of the better reputed players on here calling all-ins with gut shots for stacks and all sorts of nonsense.

Think I got bullied of a few hands by better players but some of the standard was not very good at all.

Guess I got all my luck with my looks and intelligence.

I know, but arghhhh. I wasn't asking for miracles, just an extremely dominating hand holding up at the right time in one of the biggest buy-in tourneys I've played in. Arrrghhh.

But made a few mistakes along the way. Hit some big hands. And won a couple of flipish things too. I'll be more philosophical tomorrow. But argghhh.

these sort of beats seem standard and are really hard to take, rewarding bad play doesn´t seem fair, i know uzi lover has a good record in mtt´s and he is no mug, but i just don´t see why he made the play he did. Did he go on to win it ? better luck next time.

yep i had a well known player on the site who is meant to be good shove a 20bb stack utg with 10 8 when he was in a good position to get a seat (it was a sat) for me to call him with J J, i flopped my jack but he turned the straight I just thought to myself, isnt he supposed to be good? Maybe there just lucky..
