Flopped flush no good?

I haven't noticed this guy before until this hand and I haven't noticed anyone bet full pot at all.  My thought process is that there is less than a 1% chance he has air or a draw, he either has a set or two pair he is protecting against a flush draw or he has the made flush, probably the latter, but I haven't played him enough to be sure.  The fact that he is sat nearly 100bb deep tips me off that he might be solid as most fish don't sit quite so deep, however I'm new to this table so I can't assume that he bought in for the full amount.

Oh, and the reason I flat the flop is because I'm already suspecting he has me beat and I'm going for pot control and if he bluffs me off the pot if another diamond hits, fair play to him.

get in on turn imo, if he has a better flush its a cooler

lol dont level yourself its nl4 he can have it, obviously higher flush is going to be a very small % of his range here more likely 2 pair IMO

your thinking about it too much, get it in now. There is no point assuming how someone is playing when you have no idea. He might have you beat (not likely) but he could be holding top pair or anything remember you have no reads so dont assume.

Put it all in the middle, I think he has two pair. He did represent a strong hand on pre-flop therefore its unlikely he has AA,AK (unless diamonds) ,KK, even so, you are still beating him unless the board pairs on the river.

He might have the Ace of Diamonds in the hole but I am still putting my chips in the middle here regardless.

I'm not assuming, I'm just going by what I think the average NL4 player would do.  Most would stack off with J9 here, but I'm not sure how many would pot two streets with worse than a made flush.  There are a lot of mistakes to exploit at NL4, but they're not complete morons.

well maybe assume may of been the wrong word but surely you can understand what im saying your comparing one play by a player you dont know to most of the nl4 players, personally i would think alot of players would do similar with Ad9 to be honest and thats at nl4-nl10.

What we have here is a flush at NL4 with two outs against any other flush. Four ways to the pot and a player bets full pot and gets called by three other players. Then a non-diamond ace comes out and a player has bet out of possition full pot again. You still have the flush.

I would think that he has a rag, off-suit ace with a diamond. He may have two pair with the ace of diamonds. But it's just as likely he has no diamonds and still thinks that he is golden.

Just jam the turn. If he has a better flush then you still have two outs for the nuts. I'm guessing he didn't have the nut flush and you binked a straight flush on the river then. Otherwise this post would be in BB&V.

Why did you flat call on flop, you HAVE to raise here to protect against A/K diamond draws.

If you do raise flop you can probably get most in on flop and then bet big turn or shove, but NEVER fold lolz.

I just stoved this hand against AdAx, sets, two pair hands and made flushes and my equity on the flop is 41.87% and 43.224% on the turn.

Thats a redic tight range for 4NL  and I cant be bothered to work it out but it cant be that bad getting it in with over 40% equity

I was the villain in this hand and did flop a better flush. If it's any consolation Wilhelm (he shoved turn) I don't think you did anything wrong in going broke. I agree with grantorino that you probably should've raised flop to protect against a fourth diamond but other than that it's a cooler. As a few have pointed out, at NL4 you could just as easily be up aainst two pair or even top pair
