working togather or not???

edited September 2011 in Poker Chat
just played a dym

the blinds 200-400

got raised to 400, i fold, then the guy on 445 chips total raises and the initial raiser folds and does not call for 45..

is this working together to build his stack back up or what could it be ???

i will not list their names yet until someone asks for them, i will post the hand if required

    Sounds very dodgy to me but unless there was something said in the chatbox I don't think there is a lot you can do. And you cannot name names on the forum. Might be interesting to see if they appear together on other tables though.

    It's just idiocy. Some people don't understand basic concepts of poker/DYMs. I call with 72off no question for 45chips to knock out the short stack when I've already put 400 in.

    Just copy and paste the hand into a post, then every appearance of their name in the hand, just replace it with xxx or whatever ya like.

    What I meant by that is you can only call it collusion if they say something in the Sky poker chatbox. If they didn't it's end of story irrespective of them using other means.

    It certainly looks suspicious, but I don't think it's collusion this time. I was railing, so I know the screen names and I've had a look at their histories. Both play a lot of DYMs, but this is the first time they have ever sat at the same table, colluders would repeatedly sit at games together.

    I can think of two other possible explanations;

    1. One of them has a pretty awful record and runs at an average ROI of -29%. So it might just be a poor decision on his part.

    2. Many players are having connection issues again this afternoon. It's possible that the guy who folded was temorarily disconnected.

    I'm sure they could look into patterns regarding the players in question playing lots of games together and doing the same kinds of things.

    Exactly.  To say there was no chat is a trifle naive.

    There is highly sophisticated - and effective - tracking software out there to combat this type of collusion.
