Well I'm looking to make a hand, or a draw that I'd be happy to bet big for value and get my stack in by the river.

Top pair 9 kicker wasn't what I was looking for, I'm probably behind at the mo, and if I'm not, I'll almost certainly be behind by the river in a 6 handed pot! lol.

Don't mind the limp to try and make 2p, trips, pair + draw, or just a big draw.

Whole nl4 strategy is based on value towning opponents, we can't do that here.

i dicided to go down the " i think im ahead of this lot" route, but re assess as i go down the streets, prob very spewy in the long run. was playing between 2lines of thought. like i say,its a different beast this nl4.lol

Seriously,  just fold no value for you here just a headache – pills nurse !

89s is great for making a big hand and taking down a big pot - pair of 8's and 9 kicker is not a big hand

the problem with 4nl is you are not likely to get folds with any kind of sensible raise and possibly not even with an all in so the question is whether you think a pair of 8's will win the pot at the river

i dont mind a call given the price - you could hit 2 pair or trips on the turn but you could already be facing a straight
