LIVE VRS ONLINE PLAY SWITCH
I was just wondering how people that play online and live, play the same or do they play differently!
Its quite a switch i know because of the differnces such as you have to count your own chips, keep an eye on other players stack sizes, body language like tells and also face to face banter which can put some people on tilt.
The dynamic between the two are miles apart in my opinion but when it comes to actualy playing hands, and there are going to be a lot less, does this put you off and make you think differntly than when your at home with the telly on and other distractions in front of your laptop. In a casino for instance you tend to have bigger buy ins that you might not do online especialy like me with cash games as online i have my bankroll and play a percentage of it where as live im playing 25p 50p and £1.50 £3 levels. The switch between how you play with your friends also can be a vastly different expierience of how you play but then you come back and play online. I myself think i do change the way i play live and online a hel of a lot. I dont slow play online where i feel i can live due to reads and so forth. What are your expieriences with the change to live and online poker. The touch of the felt and the smell of the cards and whole atmosphere of live and online just clicking away staring at a screen for hours on end, its got to effect your mindset! Do you take live beats worse than online or the other way around, I myself hate losing more online for less money than i do when i play live for more money because i feel ive had a great experience and its more personal and can respect people more when its face to face. With the Sky poker tour as popular as it it now have you found that the people you play online with played differntly live than you expected them too?
would you not do certain things like shoving with certain hands because you know it might embaris you in a live game where as online your gonna take a lot more risks and not care what players think of you cos they are not there in the same room. Or are you better say like im better at cash games live than i am tornys live and online its the otherway around. You would think that you should play exactly the same way but im sure players dont. What are your thoughts on this subject?
