Bit of background to this, not the players, but the level. I have a bankroll of 220 quid, i got it mainly from grinding between 2 and 5 tables at NL4 (+ one or two decent cashes in MTT's) for about 7hrs a week on average. When i got to 160 quid i moved up to NL8 and had some success but had a really bad run of beats and just couldnt buy a pot. I am new to poker (less than a year) and i hold my hands up to the fact that a couple of weeks of variance hitting home affected my game and it took me a month to get back from a break even player to a profitable one again. I ground away at NL4 to get back up to 180 quid and had another go at NL8. Straight away i ran my 6,6,6,Q,Q full house in to 8,8,8,Q,Q full house to get stacked after both of us hit our sets. I reloaded and my two pair ran in to a higher two pair and i was 16 quid down after 10 minutes. I ground it back up at NL4 and moved up yet again but i lost a buy in to a better full house. By now, i had had enough of NL8.
FWIW, i have dabbled a bit at NL10 and done ok and shown a profit. I want to play NL8 as it allows me to multi table without having too much of my bankroll in play at once. (I have to play at least 2 tables otherwise i want to kill myself due to the boredom and i start messing about with hands i shouldnt).
Today, i played NL8 with a BR of 215 quid and literally on one of the first hands this happened. Sorry, no reads.

What am i doing wrong or is it just some sort of curse i have at NL8?
Can i ever get away?
Should i have just flatted the river? (i seriously thought about doing this)
When he shoves i have to call right?
Sounds stupid thinking about folding a FH but when he shoved i just knew he had it but i beat enough hands surely to make this the right call.
This was from one of the other tables. Pre flop ok? Am i right to check, shove flop? Its a bit risky checking as i dont want to give a free card, but i know villains are quite aggressive and knew i had a very good chance one of them would have a go, thought they would shove to be honest.
I would raise pre Definitely bet turn bigger You have to raise river against unknown Posted by grantorino
This is for hand 1.
Was in two minds to raise pre but my standard raise is 4xBB pre, if i add one for the limper i thought i wouldnt get value as i are'nt liking most flops. I'm usually getting called even after a raise. Dunno mate, your usually right. At 4NL in an unopened pot i am defo raising but with a limper, i will just try to cascade the limps to see a cheap flop and then get more chance of action with more people in the pot. Not saying i am right, but thats what i do. (i am willing to change! lol) EDIT-didnt want to force shortstack to shove also. :-/
Turn is weak, but i thought i was that strong that i could try and keep him interested (horrible innit!) and let him see another card relatively cheaply.
To be honest, I don't like your shove with the KQ hand, I think you're only getting called by people who have 4 to a straight flush, AQ, KQ or QJ, which is a pretty scary range for you to be against.
I think you struggle to get many worse hands to call this shove.

Am i right to call the flop to try and entice the last villain in or should i bump it up to protect my hand?
Is turn bet too much? Can i keep him in or should i not be bothered?
HAND 3
I think you struggle to get many worse hands to call this shove.
