I got lucky!

We often read about bad beats in fact we hear of them all the time and yes we have all had them but last night in the £250 guranteed i got very very lucky.There were 13 players left paying the top 8 and i was on the button sat with KJ off suit,The hand was folded round to me so i raised 3x pot which i think was correct sb folds then bb re raises me for another 1600 chips,I call still thinking i may be up a small pair ,Flop shows A Q 9 spades i have J spades,Player one bets pot i call turn was 4 clubs he goes all in i dwell and call,He shows AAA river 10 hearts i get a very lucky straight and end up finishing 5th ,So it is swings and roundabouts you have lucky days and not so lucky days thats all part of poker.

3 A's ??? lol...what a hand to beat - i agree we all get lucky from time to time too, but we prefer to call it GOOD PLAY lol

Ye i agree with the above post.luck plays a part!major part. what do you do if you got 3 AAA on flop? and somebody goes all in expecting a flush...you call (very hard not to) and somebody gets a flush,and you got trips left...who ever folded trips before on flop?because they were worried opponent had chance for straight,flush etc?

Got lucky again this AM,I was on cash table and i called a 40p raise on 5/10 with AQ.flopped 8 A 2,I bet 1.10 player 5 goes all in 5.90 i call,He shows 888, turn A river Q .I will paste it later for some reason i cant copy at the mo.
