how do you deal with poker 'loud mouths' in the chatbox, or at the table?? Does it sometimes help your game having someone like that on your table? Are you sometimes that person at the table?
OK see you soon, this week, I hosted a poker game for Manutd players...(they were mediocre at best!) and lost a memory card with an entire shoot on it (the pain...)

1 /> What do I geek out over ?
Anything to do with great design, be it gadgets, cars, buildings, websites, basically anything that has a purpose, does the job it's made to do well, looks nice and breaks a few boundaries.
I'm also a fellow Photoshop geek and I spend far too much time and money buying hi-fi gear.
2 /> How do I deal with loudmouths ?
I do the typically british thing of ignoring them. I sometimes make a comment if I win alot of chips off them but more often than not, a simple smile and a thankyou winds them up enough.

Regarding poker loudmouths i just ignore them i dont care what they say it is only how they play that i take note of.
Would never be seen being geeky, totally not my image.

Live - just ignore them, if they are busy shouting their mouth off they're too busy paying attention to the cards.
Online - laugh at them getting wound up over a game which is supposed to be fun.

I geek out big time over wrestling and have done for as long as I can remember. I have a fairly extensive DVD and magazine collection and I'm off to Wrestlemania for the second year in a row next year. All I need to do now is to bink a tourney or two too pay for it lol.
I like having loudmouths in the chatbox, gives me something to laugh at.
If you are ever in my area then you may enjoy a visit to the Rushden transport museum. It is situated in a 1894 station, the year of Tikay's birth if I remember correctly, and is full of old railway and transport memrobelia. I'd love to hear her opinion on a thought I have? I personally think that while the events of Black Friday have effectively closed down internet poker in the United States, when these events are settled and the Internet Gaming Act repealed, there are Casino based companies using the black out as a reboot and will pump a lot of money into new pokersite launches to make a grab for a huge market share in the internet poker market. Sites we've never heard of will become the biggest pokersites in 5 or 6 years or so.
I have a poker loudmouth living with me! It's not just at the tables, its all day every day, I have to look at her final table trophy on the mantelpiece and she has got her result posted on the Hendon Mob database!

One of the greatest characters in poker and I love how he includes facts like just ordering but waiting for a Guiness when calculating implied odds in a hand.
Now she's been on the show for a while. Played in two Tournaments and gone deeper than all the more experienced male presenters on each occasion.
Does she find she reads the game easier now? does she have the confidence to advise others if she thinks they're making bad plays?
Does she think her looks and femine charm give her an edge? or does she think blokes have the advantage on the table? Has she made any incredible bluffs and who did she pull the wool over?
